Lavender-Honey Milk Bath
The lavender can be gathered from the garden after flowering on a dry day. The easiest way is to hang the flower heads upside down in a paper bag and hang in a dry place. As the seeds ripen they will be contained in the bag and you won’t end up with lavender all over the place.
You will need:
-
3 tablespoons dried lavender flowers
-
350ml (12 fluid oz) whole milk or cream
-
100g (3.5 oz) honey
Method:
You can process the lavender flowers in a blender until they become a powder, or grind them in a mortar and pestle. Whisk together this lavender powder, milk and honey and then pour into a jar and seal.
Before use, shake the jar and pour half of the mixture under running water. Makes enough for 2 baths, so store the remainder covered in the refrigerator for up to a week.
