Salmon Burgers with Honey Barbecue Sauce
Serves 4
You will need:
4 tablespoons honey
4 tablespoons tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
2 teaspoons horseradish sauce
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 large tin salmon, drained
200g (7oz) breadcrumbs
1 chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
4 burger buns, toasted
1 egg white
Method:
1. Combine honey, ketchup, vinegar, horseradish and garlic.
2. In a seperate bowl mix together the salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, green pepper and egg white. Blend in 2 tablespoons of the sauce.
3. Divide the salmon mixture into 4, roll and flatten to make burgers. Place on a well-oiled grill or baking sheet, turning 2 to 3 times
and basting with sauce, until burgers are browned and cooked through. Place on hamburger buns and serve with the rest of the sauce.
